With the Boords Vimeo integration, you can automatically upload your animatic MP4s to Vimeo.

Step 1) Create a free Zapier account

Zapier is an automation service which connects the apps you use every day with one another. To use Boords with Zapier, you’ll need a free Zapier account. If you have a Zapier account, sign in to it now.

Step 3) Create a Zap

Now that your Boords account is connected, it’s time to create a Zap! Give your new Zap a name; something like Animatic MP4 to Vimeo.

Select Boords as your Trigger App. If you can’t see Boords in the Trigger App dropdown menu, make sure you’ve connected Boords with Zapier.

Step 4) Set up your Animatic Trigger

Select ‘New Animatic’ from the Boords Triggers dropdown. This trigger will fire every time you render a new animatic from within your chosen project.

Once you’ve selected your project, Zapier will look for an MP4 which it can use to test your Zap. Go ahead and render an animatic if needed:

Once Zapier has found an MP4, it’s time to add your Vimeo Action step!

Step 5) Create your Vimeo Action

Search for Vimeo in the ‘Actions’ menu, then click ‘Upload Video’.

Next, create a template for your Vimeo video. The Video URL is the only required field; make sure to use the MP4 URL variable.

Step 6) Test your action

Click ‘Send test to Vimeo’ and your animatic MP4 will be uploaded to Vimeo. Allow a few minutes for Vimeo to process your upload, and you’re off to the races.

Finally, set your Zap live and you’re good to go!
