The Boords Image Editor now has 'onion skin' mode! It lets you see the previous image under the current frame, so tracing is a breeze.

Use it by clicking the icon in the image editor toolbar. There's a keyboard shortcut, too; just press option-shift-o to toggle onion skin mode on or off.
